How do I set up the Joomla Newsletter Module?

You can find the Joomla plug-in in your Newsletter2Go account, under "Plug-ins".

Download the Joomla plug-in:

Sign in to the admin area of your Joomla account.

Go to "Extensions" --> "Manage" and then select "Upload Package File".

Click on "Choose file" and select the module that you downloaded previously.

Then click on "Upload & Install".

Open the Newsletter2Go module settings page, which you can find in the Joomla menu under "Components" --> "Newsletter2Go".

You should then see the following page:

Click on "Log in or Create Account".

If you already have a Newsletter2Go account and are logged in, all you need to do is allow access so that the plug-in can be installed.

If you already have a Newsletter2Go account, you can simply tick the box next to "I already have a Newsletter2Go account" and then sign in with your account details.

If you don't yet have a Newsletter2Go account, you can set up a new account here.

Once you have logged in, you will be taken straight to the Joomla plug-in within your Newsletter2Go account. Here, you can change your log-in details and test the connection to the Joomla system.

Once a connection with your account has been established, you can edit the registration / unsubscribe form within the Joomla plug-in.

You need to have already created a form in your account (you can do this under "Main Menu" --> "Forms". You can also view our video tutorial for more information).

You can then select this form in Joomla and customize the design. On the right-hand side you can see a preview or the source code.

To integrate the form, go to "Content" --> "Article" and then use this shortcut:

{newsletter2go type=popup}  = integrate form as a pop-up or with specific timing: {newsletter2go type=popup delay=10} in this case it would be 10 seconds.
{newsletter2go} = normal integration

{newsletter2go form_type= unsubscribe} = unsubscribe form

If the form still doesn't show, you may need to activate the Newsletter2Go plug-in again. Go to "Extensions" --> "Plugin" and search for Newsletter2Go. The status should be enabled / active.
