How Do I Set Up the Sugar CRM Plug-in?
1. Check security settings
To ensure that you can use the Sugar CRM API, the following security roles must be in place:
Target Lists must be set to Enabled.
2. Create an OAuth key
Please note: This step is only necessary for Sugar v7. An OAuth2 key is required to authenticate Sugar CRM v7. To create an OAuth2 key, go to administration settings and click on OAuth Keys under the system panel.
Create a new key by clicking on the drop-down link and selecting Create New OAuth Key.
3. Connect to Newsletter2Go
To set up the Sugar CRM plug-in, log into your Newsletter2Go account and select Integrations from the drop-down account menu (top right).
Find and select Sugar CRM from the list or edit your existing integration.
Enter the URL to your CRM system and your Sugar username and password. You may have to also enter the Client Key and Client Secret (noted down earlier). You have successfully completed the Sugar CRM set-up – congratulations!
4. Sync your contacts
The following contact groups can be synchronized using the Sugar plug-in:
- Contacts
- Accounts
- Leads
- Target lists
The following information can be transferred from your Newsletter2Go account to your Sugar system:
- Newsletter unsubscribes
- Bounced email addresses
The following contact fields can be synchronized:
